GenieClip® RST is compatible with a wide range of plasterboard assemblies, from single-layer 12.5mm plasterboard to multiple layers of 15mm plasterboard. The GenieClip maximum spacing of 600 x 1200mm can hold up to 2 layers of 15mm Plasterboard. Contact Pliteq’s engineering team for further questions or information on spacing.
Independent lab testing shows GenieClip® RST consistently outperforms traditional resilient bar systems. By eliminating the risk of short-circuiting and maintaining long-term isolation, GenieClip® assemblies deliver higher airborne (DnTw) and impact (Ln,w) ratings for more reliable sound control in both walls and ceilings.
Each GenieClip® RST is engineered to support up to 16kg per clip, with a tested safety margin. Standard installation requires spacing clips every 1200mm along the furring channel and up to 600mm between rows. This maximum spacing allows for up to 2 layers of 15mm plasterboard. Following these guidelines ensures both code compliance and optimal acoustic performance.
